Hosted by the Local Jobs Program Goulburn Murray Employment Region, this government-funded event was a hub of inspiration and opportunity for the community.
Windlab was thrilled to participate, showcasing the career potential within Australia’s clean energy sector. Regional Australia is not just a place of natural beauty; it’s a thriving centre for innovation and growth, especially in renewable energy. The Junction Rivers Wind Project is a perfect example, offering not only sustainable energy solutions but also opportunities for workforce development and community enrichment.
During the expo, we connected with jobseekers eager to explore careers in clean energy and received expressions of interest from businesses interested in supporting the construction and operation of our wind project. With approximately 45 exhibitors and 30 employers participating, including organisations like Workpac, MP Recruitment, and SYC, the event demonstrated the strength and diversity of the local employment landscape.
A special thank you to event organizers Faye D’Helin and Carla Janissen for their hard work in creating such a successful event in just six weeks. Their efforts were commendable, and the expo set a solid foundation for future editions.
The numbers speak volumes - our stand alone saw heaps of visitors, multiple expressions of interest, and productive conversations with potential workforce and business partners. The Echuca Jobs Expo has solidified its place as a valuable platform for connecting employers with the region's next wave of talent and opportunity.
We look forward to continuing these conversations and building on the momentum created at this year’s expo to further support local workforce development and community empowerment. Together, we’re creating a sustainable future—one job at a time.
